Induction of Rev. Colin Foreman into Deeside Pastorate

The induction of Rev. Colin Foreman into the Deeside Pastorate (Garden City URC, Rivertown URC and Northop Hall PCW) will take place at Rivertown URC Chester Road West Shotton Flintshire on Saturday 4th October at 3pm.
DIRECTIONS
From M56 Manchester/M6
Follow M56 to the end then bear left onto the A5117 following signs for North Wales. There are currently extensive road works along this route. Follow temporary signs to North Wales until you join the A550. Soon after crossing over the River Dee take the next exit, sign posted Connah’s Quay. At roundabout take last exit right. Bear left through the traffic lights (do not turn left into ASDA) along Chester Road West for about ¾ mile. You will pass Deeside Leisure Centre on your right. Go through a set of traffic lights, passing Pizza Hut and B&Q on your right, then an ESSO garage and the St Ethelwold Parish Church on your left. Go through second set of traffic lights and after passing under the railway bridge you will see Rivertown URC on the right. It is a yellow bricked building opposite NatWest Bank.

- immediate right after the railway bridge
- drive passed the church and turn right down King Edward Street and then immediate right
- continue along rear of church and into station car park ahead
From North Wales/South Wales via A55/A550
Follow signs to Birkenhead along the A494 passed exit for Buckley. At bottom of the hill turn left for Connah’s Quay. Bear left through the traffic lights (do not turn left into ASDA) along Chester Road West for about ¾ mile. You will pass Deeside Leisure Centre on your right. Go through a set of traffic lights, passing B&Q on your right, then an ESSO garage and the parish church on your left. Go through second set of traffic lights and after passing under the railway bridge you will see Rivertown URC on the right. It is a yellow bricked building opposite NatWest Bank.

From North Wales Coast
Follow A548 coast road. After passing through Flint follow signs to Connah’s Quay (not Queensferry as this will take you over the ‘new’ Dee crossing). Continue along this road, through Connah’s Quay into Shotton. Rivertown URC is on the left. It is a yellow bricked building opposite NatWest Bank. If you go under the railway bridge you have gone too far.

- turn left before the church, down King Edward Street (Post Office on the corner) then turn immediate right
- continue along rear of church and into station car park
- on the right immediately before railway bridge.
